Parents, read on to learn how to make simple, fun summer crafts with your kids!
I’m always looking for activities involving water to keep my kids cool on hot summer days. Today we made a sailboat craft that is able to float in the pool or the bathtub. These summer crafts for kids are easy to make and fun to play with.
Each child started with a styrofoam tray (from fruit or meat), a plastic lid (from a coffee or oatmeal can), or an empty margarine tub for the main part of the sailboat. Kids can decorate their sailboats if they like, but it might come off in the water.
In the center of each sailboat craft we placed a small ball of play dough. We stuck our masts into the dough and voila, our boats were ready to sail!
